holidaze

this year it is apparent that the oldest child in my house is enthralled with everything related to Christmas.  she is thrilled to open up the doors on her advent calendar (which does not have chocolate inside), she loves to put up the word of the day from her school advent calendar, she loves to help address envelopes, she wants to help open boxes, wrap presents, etc.

it is great to see the joy she has and try to live through the holiday spirit in her child eyes.  i hope i can keep her spirit bright through the rest of this week.  i am trying to hide the 'stocking stuffers' and anything else that Santa might bring.  and still get the last minute to-dos out of the way...  oh the joy of being of a mom(parent) during the holidays.
