You are so awesome. That's right.. awesome. We started to make cookies and you were eager to help. You stood on the chair next to the counter and your first job was to stir the dough. You delighted in eating the mixture more than actually stirring.
Second job was waiting for me to roll the dough out so you could cut 'shapes' out. We started with a star and decided the skills of a 19 month old was not advanced enough for a star. So, we moved ahead with a square. A square was perfect. You would cut out a square and then lick the cookie cutter. Sometimes you would cut out two shapes and lick the cookie cutter.
The pure joy on your face to actually 'help' mommy make cookies was enough. You had flour on your arms, your belly and your face. I think your new favorite word is 'chookies'.
