1 thing i've learned

Nothing stays the same for parenting. Once you get comfortable and finally figure out what the child wants/needs, etc. It all gets turned upside down and you have to learn it all over again.

Stage 1 - infant - new parents worry about fragility of baby, keeping baby alive, baby not eating enough, not pooping enough, not sleeping enough, sleeping too much... the list never ends.
Stage 2 - parent gets some confidence, some sleep (ahh this isn't so bad)
Stage 3 - feeding, crawling, walking - new stage of panic - baby-proofing the house, baby puts everything in their mouth so the house must be spotless
Stage 4 - walking child, laughter, so much fun! (ahh this is nice. baby is fun and the house isn't spotless and we are eating real foods)
Stage 5 - oh crap... toddler time. child has an opinion... one day fruit is good, next day fruit is awful. control issues, potty training/diaper disasters, talking back, tantrums...

And I hear it doesn't really get better..
