Checkup

Height: 29 inches (60th percentile)
Weight: 21 pounds 2 ounces (50th percentile)
Head: 18 inches (75th percentile)
Daddy and I took you in for your 1 year checkup today. You were running around the room and having a great time until the doctor came in. He laid you on Daddy's lap and did his tests. You started to get pissed when you couldn't do what you wanted. Then he started moving your legs to test your hips and you did not like it. When he was done, you looked like you were going to smack the doctor. You had your teether in your hand and I thought for sure you were going to hit him with it. Then Daddy handed you to me and you were much happier. You looked back at the doctor and you gave him such a dirty look. It was a look of utter contempt... lips pursed and a glare. You didn't want to get off my lap until he left the room. It was all Dad and I could do to keep ourselves from laughing.
But, we are so happy that you are one healthy little girl. The doctor was happy to see that you were walking and talking. He didn't seem to be worried about anything. Your hips are fine, you are hitting all the milestones (even ahead of schedule).
